At Ocean Resort Group, discover the best resort at Kamala, Bangtao, Karon, Panwa and Khao Lak.
Heading north from Kata on Phuket's west coast is Karon beach. Close in proximity to popular Patong but a million miles away in terms of noise and crowds. Karon is a wonderful stretch with pine and palm trees standing tall and rolling sand dunes, adding to the picture-postcard feel and a selection of hotels in Phuket. The beach here is decked in white sand and offers holiday visitors an easy-going, relaxed pace in which to enjoy paradise with superb swimming and water activities.
Situated six kilometers north of Patong, Kamala remains the only major beach in Phuket that does not have extensive hotel development, thus a serene stay is pretty much assured. In the vicinity, local people continue about their day offering visitors a chance to see real village life. However, there are tourists' attractions close by, including the famous cultural theme park, Phuket FantaSea, which hosts an evening buffet and an extravagant show.
Bangtao beach resides north of Kamala and offers an astounding eight kilometers of relatively unspoiled sands. There is an 18-hole golf course in the area which is also good for swimming, sunbathing and watersports. The beach is lined with several upmarket Phuket hotels and a small smattering of restaurants.
Just six kilometres away from Phuket Town yet largely unknown to tourists.
It's still tranquil and a haven for people who like peace and quiet. Khao Khad beach, western edge of Cape Panwa, offers breathtaking views of blazing sunsets over Chalong Bay including being able to see the Big Buddha from afar. Other famous Cape Panwa's sightseeing spots include Phuket Aquarium and Khao Khad Views Tower . If you're looking for a relaxing break from Phuket's west-coast beaches but not far from Phuket town, Khao Khad beach, also known as Panwa beach, is the perfect place for you.
Khao Lak Beach
Khao Lak is a beautiful beachfront destination surrounded by unspoilt natural beauty, approximately 50 minutes drive north of Phuket International Airport. With lush mountains, deserted beaches, and numerous national parks, Khao Lak is a nature lovers hideaway, a tranquil location perfect for a relaxing break. Khao Lak is also where boats depart to embark on a journey of underwater discovery to the Similan Islands, which boast colourful coral reefs and amazing marine life.
